This document intends to help advertisers get their adverts up and running on ISKsense and addresses common problems. If you encounter problems not addressed here, please let us know via the contact link at the bottom of the page.
ISKsense is a distribution network for your advert. We don't run the websites or host them; we just host your advert and syndicate it to the websites which run our advertising tools. Because of this, we can focus on keeping your job a simple one. You want to advertise something- we have the means. So, what about our setup?
ISKsense has two structures you need to bear in mind when managing your adverts- campaigns and adverts. Campaigns are like boxes to keep your adverts in- you might have a campaign for a given website, with various adverts for the website. A random advert will be selected from the campaign each time, and no two adverts from the same campaign will run side by side. Adverts contain your message- be it text or an image.
All adverts- even image adverts- have a title and some text. The purpose of this is that you still get placed on text-only spots even if you use image-based adverts, thus maximising your outreach and saving you making several adverts. A title is a short, 40-character summary- the text below is shown on full advertising spaces, and ignored on linkbar spaces, so the title needs to work well on it's own.
The first time you make an advert, you will be asked to make a campaign to which it will belong. Once you've done that, you can make your advert, and save it. You can then go back to the new advert or campaign pages and make more adverts in that campaign. Once this is all done you may have 3 or 4 adverts in a campaign.
ISKsense shows you full statistics for each advert and campaign listed side-by-side, so you have a good idea of where you stand in terms of click-through ratios for each advert. You can disable adverts by going into the advert's view page and pressing 'disable', or 'enable' to re-enable a disabled advert. This lets you take adverts out of circulation without needing to delete and create.
Adverts will only show up if you've got the ISK. You must have at least 35,000 ISK in your account in order to get any ads displayed.
